‘Baby’ singer Justin Bieber has broken yet another Twitter record as he becomes the first person to hit 40 million followers on the social networking site.

Bieber overtook Lady Gaga for the most followed person on Twitter just earlier this year when he beat the ‘Poker Face’ superstar to 33,320,000 followers.

The ‘Boyfriend’ singer’s fans quickly got the news trending with a #40millionbeliebers hashtag. On fan said: “I'm soo proud 40 million beliebers it gets better and better each day! #40MILLIONBELIEBERS  this family is so strong, I can't believe it!”

The milestone was reached shortly after the singer teased details of his next single ‘Heartbreaker’.
