Justin Bieber: 'This isn't easy, but nothing great was ever easy'

Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has taken to his official Twitter page to tell his fans that he isn't letting the media get to him.

He posted a series of messages on the social networking site earlier this evening (July 2) and explained to his 41.2 million followers that he is "keeping it positive" and holding his head high following a bout of negative press recently:

"Interesting how some people in the media wanna take shots at me for no reason. All good. Keeping it positive over here. All about the music. Some decisions in life arent easy...but nothing great was ever easy. Be great."

The 'Boyfriend' superstar added: "in life you gotta know who you are. know your heart. love the people that love you. and be kind. be GREAT! #wwjd."

Bieber will perform later tonight in Oklahoma City at the Chesapeake Energy Arena and gave "200 tickets to students from some of the schools recently destroyed" in the tornado. Watch Jimmy Kimmel's recent skit on Bieber, which involved his fans, below:
