Justin Timberlake not giving up music

Justin Timberlake has denied recent reports that he is quitting music to pursue acting on a full-time basis.

The singer and actor hasn't released a record since 2007's, 'Until The End of Time', but has explained that his hiatus from the music industry is similar to that of a painter who needs inspiration.

"Does a painter make a painting because he has to make it by December 21? No, he doesn't," he said. "It happens when it pours out of him. That's how music is for me."

Timberlake has admitted that even though he will continue to record new songs, he is unsure of what form his musical output will take.

He said, "I never stop making music ... I don't know what else to tell you, except that I just don't know in what capacity I want to be involved anymore ... All I'm saying is, in very simple terms, I'll know when I know. And Until I know, I don't know when I'll put another record out."

Timberlake's latest movie, 'The Social Network', is out in US cinemas today.
