Justin Timberlake buys into flagging site Myspace

Justin Timberlake has joined forces with Specific Media to buy flagging social networking site Myspace.

The 'SexyBack' singer will, according to Specific Media boss Tim Vanderhook, be given his own office and team of staff with which he can work on ideas to both revive and revamp the site. Vanderhook said of the partnership:

"When we met with Justin and we discussed what our strategy was, we hit a chord with him. One of his passions is he really enjoys helping other artists and creating a community for people to really express themselves."

"I think we were blown away that we were able to get someone like Justin to be so excited about what we were doing."

In 2010 blockbuster 'The Social Network', Timberlake played the role of Sean Parker, co-founder of Napster, so this new business venture isn't entirely unfounded.
