Justin Timberlake beats Depeche Mode in UK albums chart race

American superstar Justin Timberlake is clinging on to the No.1 position in the UK albums chart with his new record, 'The 20/20 Experience'.

The singer's new offering has quickly become the fastest selling of the year, after shifting an incredible 106,000 copies in its first week of release, and is still at the top spot despite tough competition from Depeche Mode's 'Delta Machine' at No.2.

Elsewhere in the albums chart, Strokes have debuted at 5 with 'Comedown Machine', P!nk's 'The Truth About Love' is a non-mover at 7, and OneRepublic's new record called 'Native' has made an appearance at 27. One Direction's 'Up All Night' has dropped 3 positions to No.33, Taylor Swift's 'Red' is up 1 to No.22, and Bastille's 'Bad Blood' has climbed to No.4.

Other new entries this week come from Eric Clapton with 'Old Sock' at No.10, Simple Minds with 'Celebrate Greatest Hits' at 15, and Iron Maiden with 'Maiden England '88'.
