Kaiser Chiefs enjoy second week at No. 1 on UK albums chart

Kaiser Chiefs have managed to stay at the top of the UK albums chart for a second consecutive week.

The Leeds group shot straight to No. 1 last week (April 6) with their fifth LP ‘Education, Education, Education and War’ and after a further seven days the record is a non-mover.

Shooting up to No. 2 this week is Paloma Faith as her third album ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ rises eight places from No. 10.

Another climber at No. 3 is John Legend’s ‘Love In The Future’ which has advanced two places.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by George Michael with ‘Symphonica’ which has fallen one place to No. 4 and a new entry from Aloe Blacc puts the soul singer at No. 5. Aloe Blacc’s second album ‘Lift Your Spirit’ features his No. 1 hit singles ‘The Man’ and ‘Wake Me Up’.

In addition to Aloe Blacc, other new entries to this week’s chart come from Todd Terje with ‘It’s Album Time’ at No. 23, Black Label Society’s ‘Catacombs Of The Black Vatican’ at No. 30 and Sohn’s debut album ‘Tremors’ just behind at No. 31.
