A video of a 19-year-old Kanye West rapping has been uploaded online.

The clip sees the now 37-year-old take to the mic at New York record shop Fat Beats in August 1996.

West is seen spitting lyrics and even at one point drops the name Alanis Morissette.

The footage was uploaded online by DJ Eclipse, who used to run the now shut down record store.

West released his first album 'The College Dropout' in 2004 and he has since become one of the biggest names in the industry.

His last record came in the shape of 2013's 'Yeezus', which topped charts worldwide.

The US star meanwhile recently performed twice at the London Wireless Festival after Drake pulled out due to illness.
