Kanye West names new album 'Yeezus'

Kanye West appears to have named his new album 'Yeezus'.

The news was revealed by the rapper's girlfriend Kim Kardashian on Twitter, who also posted a photo of what looks like the album artwork.

The title appears to be a mash-up of the star's nickname 'Yeezy' and the word 'Jesus'.

Kardashian - who is currently pregnant with the couple's first child - also backed up suggestions that the record will be released on June 18.

The news comes after West performed on iconic US TV show Saturday Night Live at the weekend (May 18), where he played two new tracks - 'Black Skinhead' and 'New Slaves'.

As previously reported, Daft Punk recently revealed that they have collaborated with the rapper on new material. They said:

"It was very raw. He was rapping - kind of screaming primally, actually. Kanye doesn't give a f**k. He's a good friend."
