Kanye West recruits Daft Punk and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon for new album

Kanye West has revealed that Daft Punk and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon have worked on his new album.

The US rapper is due to release 'Yeezus' on June 18 as he follows up his previous full solo effort, 2010's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.

The Huffington Post reports that West revealed a host of big-name collaborations for the album during a playback last night (June 10) in New York.

He announced that Daft Punk have worked on "three or four" tracks, including 'Black Skinhead', 'On Site' and 'I Am a God'.

Justin Vernon, Chief Keef, King Louie and Kid Cudi will also feature on the record.

Speaking meanwhile about the record's name, West said:

"I want to explain something about the album title. Simply put, 'West' was my slave name and 'Yeezus' is my god name. I had to learn about giving, this whole album is about giving - this whole process is about giving no f**ks at all. I have a new strategy, it's called 'no strategy'. I have a plan to sell more music, it's called 'make better music'."
