Kasabian have been confirmed to headline this year's Reading and Leeds Festival in the UK. 

They will take the stage at the popular musical extravaganza over the weekend of August 25 - 27 at Richfield Avenue, Reading, and at Bramham Park, Leeds. The band issued a statement on the news, which reads:

"It's been five years, and as a band we have come a long way since then. We're looking forward to playing tunes from the new record and bringing the mosh pit to Reading & Leeds Festival!"

Other bands that have been just confirmed to perform include Flume, Jimmy Eat World, Major Lazer, At The Drive In, Architects, and The Amity Affliction. Previously confirmed acts include Bastille, Two Door Cinema Club and Fatboy Slim.
