Kasabian talk 'Tom and Jerry' inspiration behind 'Velociraptor!'

Kasabian frontman, Serge Pizzorno revealed that the band used a different kind of inspiration on their latest album, 'Velociraptor!'

In an interview with the Sun, Pizzorno talked about his collaboration with an orchestra for sections of the album and struggling to describe the sound he wanted, so he offered up classic cartoon  'Tom and Jerry' as a comparison.

Pizzorno said, "I just explained what I wanted in basic terms like, 'You know the bit in Tom and Jerry where Jerry plays Tom's whiskers? - that sound', and she'd go, 'Ah, it's pizzicato!' and we'd get through it like that."

'Velociraptor!' is out on September 19, with single 'Days Are Forgotten', coming out on September 11.
