Kasabian's Velociraptor is No. 1 in this week's albums chart

Kasabian's Velociraptor has stormed The Official UK Top 40 Albums Chart at No. 1, pushing Ed Sheeran down to the No. 2 slot.

This is the band's third straight No. 1, and the band's fourth studio album.

Earlier this week, Kasabian frontman, Tom Meighan, told The Sun that they will never be a support act again following their support slot with U2.

"I didn't take in anything supporting them - them gigs were horrible. Worst ever. U2 fans are cardboard cut-outs.

"Can you imagine supporting U2? Their fans are probably into one band and one album - Joshua Tree."

Elsewhere in the albums chart, Tony Bennett's Duets II enters at No. 5, Christina Perri's Lovestrong enters at No. 9, and SuperHeavy enter at No 13.
