Kasabian to rock London on New Year's Eve

Kasabian have announced plans to rock London on New Year's Eve with a special one-off performance.

The 'Switchblade Smiles' stars will welcome 2012 with a bang at the O2 Arena where they will play an exciting gig to around 20,000 fans. Speaking to the NME, Kasabian explained it seemed like the best way to celebrate the new year:

"It's been a hell of a year for us and we can't think of a better way to celebrate New Year's Eve than with our fans, friends and family by our side. We promise to set the O2 on fire! Bring on 2012!"

The band have managed to rope in drum and bass heroes Chase & Status as their support act and Radio 1's Zane Lowe will also treat attendees to a DJ set to kick off the event.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 11 and you can watch Kasabian's video for 'Days Are Forgotten' here:
