Kasabian's Tom Meighan calls One Direction "five little d*cks"

Kasabian's Tom Meighan has expressed his frustration at the success One Direction have enjoyed in America.

One Direction have of course taken America by storm, landing a No.1 album and headlining venues across the country.

Speaking to Gigwise, Meighan said it is "frustrating seeing five little d*cks take over America" - and conceded boybands will always see success. He said:

"It's frustrating when you see five little d*cks like that take over America, it's horrific but you've just got to get on with it. They're a boyband for God's sake and there will always be room for boybands. They're kids. Let them eat the candy."

Meighan added that Kasabian have had a bit of a "gruelling" time in the US and will need to keep on going back to maintain their popularity. He said:

"We went to America and it was a harsh f**king tour we did. We did nearly eight weeks out there and it was f**king gruelling. It was the hardest we've ever been pushed. We did well, we won the war on terror on that one. We've got to keep going back and back."
