Katy Perry has become the most followed person on Twitter with her number of followers now reaching 50 million.

The ‘Dark Horse’ singer overtook Justin Bieber as the most followed person on Twitter back in June 2013, but her popularity on the social networking site has continued to grow as she is the first person to reach the 50 million mark.

Katy Perry recently used her Twitter account to speak out against gun crime in America.
