Katy Perry has revealed a new love in her life - gardening.

The singer recently split from boyfriend John Mayer and it seems she is taking to seeds and spades to keep her mind busy.

The 'Birthday' star told The Sun that she likes to grow her own vegetables and fruit, saying:

"[Gardening's] so nice, it's so fulfilling to go pick your dinner, bring it back and make it. It's relaxing and very fulfilling."

Perry added about her health regime: "I take a lot of vitamins and I drink a lot of water."

The US star meanwhile recently released the video for her upcoming single 'Birthday', which sees Perry play the role of five different dodgy birthday entertainers.
