Pop beauty Katy Perry is currently on her Prismatic tour in the UK, but took time out from her Nottingham concert last night (May 11) to call her mum, Mary, and wish her a happy Mother's Day. 

In fan-uploaded footage, the 'Teenage Dream' sensation can be seen asking the audience at the Capital FM Arena to be quiet as she dialled the number and told them: "She has no idea so let's put her on speakerphone and see what comes out of her mouth!"

After a brief update from her mother, in which she mentioned that someone they know is pregnant, Perry interrupted her and said: "Mom, you're on speakerphone and I'm on the stage right now. We all just want to wish you a happy Mother's Day!"

Mary Perry then told her superstar daughter that she is her "little feather" and they ended the call so that she could resume the show. Her next performance on the Prismatic tour will take place tomorrow, May 13, in Birmingham at the LG Arena.
