Katy Perry has appeared in a new advert for Covergirl.

The singer has teamed up with the cosmetics company to promote their Full Lash Bloom range.

The colourful commercial sees Perry in a flowery environment as a voiceover reads a poem.

Perry says in the clip that her eyelashes are 'soft and full like a flower'.

The US star's hit 'Dark Horse' video meanwhile was recently named as the most viewed music clip on YouTube this year.

It has gained over 726 million views in 2014 so far.

The track features on Perry's 2013 album 'Prism'.
