Katy Perry says she is feeling a bit nervous ahead of her Super Bowl performance.

The singer will take to the stage at the US football event on February 1 in Arizona, with hundreds of millions of people expected to tune in on TV.

Despite having played in arenas across the world, it seems Perry is feeling the size of the event - which will also feature Lenny Kravitz - on her shoulders.

She told Today: "Can I be human and say yes, I’ll be nervous?"

The 'Firework' star added that she will "recycle those nerves and make them adrenaline".

Last year's Super Bowl event saw Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform.
