Katy Perry has signed a mobile game deal.

The singer has teamed up with app developer Glu Mobile to appear in a new game.

The app will be available on iOS and Android devices by the end of 2015.

The game will feature Perry's "voice, likeness and personality" and it is expected to be an RPG.

Glu chief executive Niccolo de Masi commented: "Ultimately the Katy Perry title and its specificities will be under wraps until it comes out. But I think it's fair to say that it's not going to be a shooter.

"Something closer to a narrative-based RPG makes a lot of sense than an action-RPG for example."

Glu previously released a game featuring Kim Kardashian, which saw users to try become famous.
