'This Is How We Do' sensation Katy Perry has revealed that while she would like to have children, her career is too important to walk away from at the moment so she's happy with being a mother figure to her fans. 

The superstar uploaded a photograph of herself to Instagram earlier this week in which she can be seen wearing a necklace that says 'mom' and explained that people were speculating she might be pregnant:

“I am a mother to all of the Katy Cats. They call me mom. It’s like an Internet thing.”

When asked if she wants to start a family soon, Perry added: “Listen, I’m on tour and I’ve done 127 tour dates so far. It wouldn’t be appropriate at this point right now, but I am the mother to all the Katy Cats and that’s what I posted on Instagram.”

Perry, meanwhile, recently picked 10 of the most inspirational women to her and the list included 'Obvious Child' star Jenny Slate, singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, and 'GIRLS' actress Allison Williams.
