Katy Perry: "I want to have genuine, normal experiences"

Katy Perry is looking forward to taking some time off later this year.

The ‘Roar’ singer is currently playing the fifth leg of her Prismatic world tour in Asia. She will then visit South America and play a closing date in Puerto Rico on October 12.

However before performing her final set of shows, Katy will be taking a break from the stage over the summer months.

Speaking to the British edition of OK! magazine, Perry revealed what she hopes to get up to during her downtime.

She explained: “This summer I want to have genuine, normal experiences, like going to the farmers' market and picking fruit.”

However, she did assert that she still enjoys her job saying, “I love what I do” but that she feels “ready for a nap”.

Katy Perry will also be able to get her body clock back in check as world travel and performing have forced her to adopt atypical working hours.

The ‘Dark Horse’ singer said: “I sleep a lot. That's where I get my strength and rejuvenation.”

She revealed: “My operating hours are very strange. I'm a nine-to-five girl but not in a Dolly Parton way - I'm a 9pm to 5am girl. I start my day about noon and end my day about 3am.”
