Katy Perry: 'Success isn't the goal, it's about being brave'

Songstress Katy Perry has revealed that she isn't motivated by success and instead prefers to challenge herself by being 'brave' and trying to live her life to the fullest.

During her interview with Wonderland magazine, the 'Teenage Dream' sensation confessed that it's important to take chances and to 'be brave', perhaps more so than it is to aim for success:

"There's only ever evolution. It's not levels of success that have been the goal - I think anything that is true and honest and connective will always be successful. For me, it's important to be brave and try new things. A lot of people have ideas about me, and that's fine, I'm in no rush to prove them wrong."

Perry also opened up about what she wears when she wants to wander around unnoticed: "If I am in my Adidas cape of invisibility, I am always wearing headphones, hat and sunglasses, no matter if it's night or day. Because these big ole bulging eyeballs give away my identity. I don't respond to anyone calling my name."
