Katy Perry: 'I don’t feel like my career is a ticking time bomb'

Katy Perry believes that her career isn't one with a limited shelf-life.

The singer has given a new interview to Forbes after they estimated that she is the third highest-paid celebrity in the world.

They say that she earned $135 million (£85.8 million) from June last year to June 2015.

Speaking to the publication, Perry said that she feels her success has allowed her to sit back without the fear of her career plummeting.

The US star said: "I don’t feel like my career is a ticking time bomb.

"I don’t feel like I’ll always have to be feeding the meter of show business. I got my spot, yo."

Perry added that this means she can "park for a minute" and experience life more fully.
