Katy Perry to perform at charity award gala honouring George W. Bush

Katy Perry will be providing live entertainment as part of the Starkey Hearing Foundation award ceremony taking place later this month.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation raises money for the international distribution of hearing aids.

The 15th annual So The World May Hear event takes place on July 16 and will be honouring former US president George W. Bush, amongst others, who have dedicated their time to helping those in need.

Bush is being formally recognised for working with the foundation to give customised hearing aids to over 200 people in Tanzania.

American pop star Katy Perry will be the headline music performer on the night, following live showings from Jessica Sanchez, 2Cellos and Matt Nathanson.

Katy Perry recently graced the cover of Forbes magazine after being named one of the top three earning celebrities in the world.
