Pop sensation Katy Perry has teamed up with Global Brands Group and stylist Johnny Wujek to design and create her very own shoe line. 

Speaking about her meetings with Tommy Hilfiger and Vince Camuto, she explained to Footwear News that getting creative in this way has been really exciting and invigorating:

“[Footwear] was a part of me that needed to be carefully created and developed, and I had to weigh a lot of my options. I want to learn a lot, master it and become a serious contributor in the fashion world.”

She went onto talk about the fact that her shoe line will be affordable, with pairs ranging between $59 to $299, and added: “Everybody has more important things to spend their money on -- whether it’s their children, or their family or their health. At the end of the day, your personality shouldn’t be so expensive to display.”
