Katy Perry is confirmed to join the star-studded line-up of performers for next weekend’s Grammy Awards. The news was announced by the Recording Academy on Twitter last night (6 February).

Among the other stars set to perform at this year’s ceremony, are Adele, Bruno, Daft Punk, Mars, Metallica and Alicia Keys. It's also been suggested that Beyoncé may perform, despite announcing recently that she is pregnant.

James Corden is set to host the event which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 12.

Beyoncé and Adele lead this year’s nominations with nine and five nods respectively.
