Katy Perry will guest star in a forthcoming episode of the American comedy series 'How I Met Your Mother', it has been confirmed. 

The television network CBS revealed that the Grammy nominated pop superstar will appear as the character Zoey's 'naive and beautiful' cousin. 

It is yet unannounced when the episode will air, but the show has previously included other celebrity appearances such as Rachel Bilson, Britney Spears and Mandy Moore.
