Katy Perry's new single set for biggest U.S. debut since Lady Gaga

Katy Perry’s new single, ‘Part Of Me,’ is set to score the biggest U.S. first-week sales since Lady Gaga’s 'Born This Way' almost exactly twelve months ago.

According to Billboard, the first release from the 'Teenage Dream' re-issue, 'The Complete Confection', should enter the Hot 100 at number one with sales of over 400,000 downloads, which would also make it the highest opening week tally of Perry’s career.

The track entered the Bubbling Under chart last week, just missing the Hot 100, but has raced to the top following both its full release and her performance of the song at Sunday’s GRAMMY Awards.

Six-time winner Adele is also expected to chart inside the Top 10 with three singles, ‘Rolling In The Deep,’ ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ and ‘Someone Like You,’ as is the late Whitney Houston with her signature hit, ‘I Will Always Love You.’
