Part Of Me becomes Katy Perry's third UK number one

Katy Perry has today scored the third UK number one hit of her career with ‘Part Of Me.’

The seventh single to be taken from her second album, ‘Teenage Dream,’ and the first from its upcoming deluxe edition, ‘The Complete Confection,’ followed in the footsteps of 2008’s ‘I Kissed A Girl’ and 2010’s ‘California Gurls’ by entering the top spot in its first week.

Sean Paul achieved his highest chart position in seven years with ‘She Doesn’t Mind,’ at number two, just ahead of last week's chart topper, Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know,' and Labrinth’s third straight Top 5 solo hit, ‘Last Time,’ while JLS' official Sport Relief single, 'Proud,' reached number six.

Elsewhere, You Me At Six entered at No.23 with 'The Swarm,' while there were new peaks for Jason Mraz’s ‘I Won’t Give You Up’ (No.15), Azealia Banks’ ‘212’ (No.20), and Tyga’s 'Rack City' (No.39).
