Katy Perry's Twitter followers to see 'Part Of Me' before general public

The Twitter followers of pop sensation Katy Perry will be among the first to see her upcoming debut concert movie 'Part Of Me'.

Although the special events are only open to people in the USA, her film will be showing in 100 cinemas across America on July 2, which is 3 days before its nationwide release on July 5, and fans can apply for tickets by using the hashtag "#KP3D Movie Sneak" on the social networking site.

The exciting promotion is a partnership between Insurge Pictures and Twitter, on which Perry has 21 million followers, and Insurge Pictures' president Amy Powell said:

"From Katy's first Tweet announcing the movie, her fans have been incredibly passionate and supportive and we want to make sure they are among the first to see the film they helped shape."

Twitter CEO Dick Costolo added: "The use of Twitter throughout the making and release of 'Katy Perry: Part of Me' illustrates the power of Twitter to break down barriers between artists like Katy and their fans."
