Katy Perry has revealed that she isn't looking for a Prince Charming to sweep her off her feet just yet.

Perry divorced from former husband Russell Brand in early 2012 and she opened up to ITV's Daybreak about the prospects of finding love again.

The singer said that life without love wouldn't be "living" and that to close herself off from finding love again because of her divorce would be "unfortunate".

However, Perry said that her "fairy tale has altered" and that she isn't looking for a Prince Charming at this moment in her life. When asked if she would consider finding love again, she said:

"Always, love is an incredible emotion. If you lived life without love you wouldn't be living. I feel like to shut that out of my life just because I've had an interesting experience it would be very unfortunate. My fairy tale has altered - I don't necessarily need the Prince Charming in order to have the happy ending, I can have the happy ending for myself at this point in time."
