Photos from a new ghd photoshoot featuring Katy Perry have been unveiled online.

The pop songstress has had a long affiliation with the hair product company, having promoted their range in the past.

Perry is fronting the brand's 2012 campaign and the accompanying photoshoot, which was taken by Ellen Von Unwerth, sees the 'Part of Me' star go black and white.

One photo sees the singer hang from chandeliers, whilst another shows Perry playing chess and smiling.

The shoot's hair maestro Danilo said that Perry is a "vibrant" artist who is capable of displaying a whole range of emotions and styles. He said:

"It's a pleasure working with Katy. She's a young, vibrant artist who is really OK about being confident and seeing herself in different ways – extreme, vulnerable, kooky, sexy, expensive looking but playful. She's a beautiful woman so it's inspirational."
