Katy Perry unveils 'The One That Got Away' extended video

Pop sensation Katy Perry has released the extended cut version of her music video for 'The One That Got Away'.

This new edit is longer at just under 7 minutes and was directed by Floria Sigismondi, who has previously worked with the likes of David Bowie and 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)' songstress P!nk.

Additional scenes include a more in-depth look at the relationship with her onscreen lover while they're creating art in an apartment and a longer introductory sequence.

Perry was recently named Billboard's Woman of the Year and explained that while she's honoured to have been given such an impressive title, she would rather be considered an inspiration than a role model.

She also won the 2012 Trevor Project's 'Hero' award for her continued support of the LGBT community earlier this week (December 2).
