Katy Perry: "I'll be an A-lister for life"

Katy Perry feels she will be an "A-lister for life" after mingling with the American President at last weekend's inauguration events.

The stunning songstress performed at the Kids' Inaugural Ball on Saturday night and was also invited along to a secret inauguration party at the White House with President Barack Obama.

Perry gushed to Access Hollywood about the overwhelming event: “I feel like an A-lister for life. I don’t know if I will be, but I felt that way that weekend. It was like crazy mind boggling, and to be invited to the White House was just like, oh my gosh!”

The stunning songstress was dressed in a revealing stars and stripes lycra suit that boasted a matching waistcoat and red neck-tie at the Saturday night show.

Perry - who is famed for her flesh-baring outfits - revealed how she keeps her curves in check: “I’m off tour [now], and when I was on tour I was doing two-hour shows like, five nights a week, so that was keeping me really in shape. So now I just do a lot of hiking. I’m addicted to getting my steps in, because I wear like, an arm band [pedometer].”
