Katy Perry has teased fans with the prospect of new material.

The singer took to Twitter yesterday (February 6) to post a picture of herself and hit maker Sia in a recording studio.

The image sees the pair pulling funny faces whilst holding cans of Red Bull, with its accompanying caption reading:

"This studio session has just taken a turn."

Sia has helped create the likes of Rihanna's 'Diamonds' and David Guetta's monster track 'Titanium'.

Perry's last album meanwhile came in the shape of 2010's 'Teenage Dream', with the singer later unleashing expanded package 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' in 2012.
