Pop songstress Katy Perry has taken to her official Twitter page (July 25) to share a promotional image for her brand new fragrance, Killer Queen.

Writing on the social networking site in the early hours of this morning, the 'Teenage Dream' beauty confessed that she is so excited to reveal the campaign and scent to her fans: "I'm thrilled to reveal #KILLERQUEEN Own the Throne!"

The photograph (shown both above and below) was accompanied by a link to Perry's official Facebook page, which promises to share more information in due course.

During a recent interview with Women's Wear Daily, the sensation described the perfume and how it smells: "It took us something like 30 or 35 tries to get it right. I wanted some floral [notes], like jasmine, but I also wanted red velvet flower, which is incredible — it gives it the edge that makes it Killer Queen."
