Katy Perry: 'My grandmother is in charge of my morals'

Pop songstress Katy Perry has opened up about the impact her strict upbringing had on her as a person and admitted that she's very cautious with decisions she makes now.

Speaking exclusively to Radar magazine, the 'Teenage Dream' beauty confessed that her gran keeps her in check and she would never want to disappoint her so behaves herself:

"I think everyone knows that I am more open. But I hope I make all my decision with integrity. My grandmother is in charge of my morals. I do anything wrong, she'll come after me."

Perry added that despite not wanting to step out of line, it's important to make mistakes because they enable you to grow and learn lessons you would otherwise avoid:

"Of course people have to choose between good and evil. But I think no matter what situation we find ourselves in, or where we come from, we can always choose to grow from it. Scars are a reminder of what we have learned."
