Pop beauty Katy Perry has confirmed that her highly anticipated new album will be very "honest" as that's what she thinks people want from music.

During an interview with American talk show host Jay Leno (pictured below), the 'Teenage Dream' superstar confessed that after a rough couple of years she has decided to open her heart on the new record and to tell the truth about what's inside of it:

"I've had a lot of time to reflect over some of the time I took off in the past year. I think that it'll continue to be what I always do, which is connecting to my core and trying to bring an honest message that people can relate to, because I think honesty is what everyone is looking for."

Perry, meanwhile, has lent her voice to the 'Smurfs 2' movie and told her followers on Twitter how excited she was to bump into 'Till The World Ends' sensation Britney Spears at the premiere.
