Katy Perry has seemingly announced the title and release date of her next album.

The US songstress will unleash new record 'Prism' on October 22.

The news is currently being revealed in a clever marketing campaign which sees a truck with the album information written on its side travel around Los Angeles.

Curious fans began to tweet photos of the vehicle and Perry later said on Twitter that she would retweet any pictures of the truck. The 'Part of Me' star said:

"Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map."

Perry later confirmed to a fan on the social networking website that the information was relating to her album, not a single.
