Katy Perry album won't feature John Mayer

Katy Perry has confirmed that boyfriend John Mayer won't make a cameo on her new album.

The singer is expected to release new record 'Prism' on October 22 as she follows up 2010's 'Teenage Dream'.

Speaking to E!, the pop songstress denied rumours that her partner Mayer might guest on the album. When asked about the possibility, Perry replied:

"He is not, actually. But thank you for asking."

Speaking meanwhile about becoming Twitter's most followed female after usurping Lady Gaga, the 'Part of Me' lady said:

"I just do fart jokes and things and sometimes I do important stuff and sometimes I just like to share what I'm up to and other times, I'm just retweeting strange stuff. I'm really proud, thank you for following me. I appreciate it."

Perry is currently teasing her new album by seemingly having a golden truck drive around the US, which has been spotted in Los Angeles.
