'Teenage Dream' beauty Katy Perry has taken to her official Twitter page to tell her fans that the music video for her new single 'Roar' will debut this week.

Writing on the social networking site over the weekend, the star explained that the visuals for the empowering anthem will be unveiled on Thursday:

"The #ROAR music video is coming to you in junglescope September 5!"

Along with the exciting information, Perry also shared the track's artwork (shown below). She confirmed yesterday, September 1, that the single is now available to buy in the UK, adding: "YAY UK! A week early & by popular demand you can be louder than a lion! Finally, It's your turn to ROAR!"

After the song was released in England, it hit the No.1 position on iTunes and knocked Ellie Goulding's chart-topper 'Burn' from the top spot.

During a new interview with Marie Claire magazine, Perry confessed that she stays calm and relaxed by meditating: "I start the day with transcendental meditation. It puts me in the best mood. I wake up and just prop myself up in bed for 20 minutes. It's the only time my mind gets absolute rest. When I'm asleep, my subconscious mind is switched on and, when I'm awake, I'm alert."
