Pop beauty Katy Perry has finally shared the final cut of her highly anticipated music video for new single, 'Roar'.

The offering is colourful and exciting, and begins with the superstar emerging from the wreckage of a crashed plane and continues on to show her learning to fend for herself in a wild jungle setting.

Tweeting about the release (pictured below) earlier this evening (September 5), Perry explained: "It's HERE! Filmed in Junglescope - my brand new music video."

Her fans' reactions so far have been mostly positive, with one writing: "I literally cannot even. I am unable to even. I have lost my ability to even, I am so unable to even." Another follower expressed their happiness at the video by adding: "OMG! It's like The Lion King but way hotter #ROARVIDEO."

The single, meanwhile, shot to the top of the UK midweek charts yesterday and landed at No.1 although the final position won't be confirmed until Sunday, September 8.
