[Los Angeles, CA - January 29, 2020] Fresh from a tear-jerking performance honoring legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell at this year’s TEC Awards at NAMM, R&B singer-songwriter Kevin Ross is set and ready to release his sophomore album and first independent project, Audacity Vol. 1 on his new imprint, Art Society Music Group/EMPIRE. The project features production from Ross in addition to frequent collaborators Jerren “J-Kits” Spruill, Kevin Randolph and Josh Garrison. The project’s lead single, “Thing Called Love”, has reached the Top 25 at Urban AC radio and seen over a million streams within a month of its release.

Audacity Vol. 1 follows Ross’ 2017 debut album, The Awakening, which included his Billboard #1 single, “Long Song Away”. In January of 2019, Ross announced his separation from Motown Records and the formation of his own label imprint Art Society Music Group. Later that year, Ross signed a multi-year distribution deal with music giant, EMPIRE distribution. Ghazi said of Kevin Ross’ signing "Kevin is a talented and versatile singer/songwriter. Kevin Ross is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter and producer that has earned recognition's from ASCAP, Soul Train, The NAACP and iHeartRadio. He was AOL’s “Best New Artist of 2014” and made Rolling Stone’s Top 10 list of “Artists You Need To Know” in 2017. Ross has gained a loyal social media following through his viral mash-up music videos that have reached over 35 million views to date.
