Kelly Clarkson axes UK and Canada tours: 'I am truly sorry'

Songstress Kelly Clarkson has been forced to cancel her entire upcoming UK tour because doctors have told her she needs to remain on vocal rest.

She cancelled some live dates earlier this month after revealing that she has been struggling with her voice, but she has now had to take further action as she isn't recovering steadily enough.

The 'Since U Been Gone' sensation was due to kick off her UK and Ireland jaunt on November 12 with a concert at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, but she has now axed the whole run and has also cancelled her scheduled Canadian tour. A statement posted to her Facebook post reads:

"Regretfully, due to instruction of her doctor, Kelly must remain on vocal rest for the remainder of the year resulting in the cancellation of her scheduled tour dates in Canada and the UK. All tickets will be refunded at the original point of purchase."

Clarkson added: "I am truly sorry that I have to cancel the remainder of my tour dates. I was looking forward to sharing this tour with all my amazing fans in Canada and the UK. Unfortunately my doctor is telling me I have to stay on vocal rest, but I am working hard to get better as fast as possible."
