Kelly Clarkson returns with 'Stronger' in October

Two years after the release of her fourth studio album, 'All I Ever Wanted', Kelly Clarkson is set to make her comeback with the release of 'Stronger' on October 25.

The former 'American Idol' winner announced that the album's first single, 'Mr. Know It All' will be played during a live webcase on her official site on August 30. The track will be available for purchase online on September 5.

The new album has gone through several delays already-- in March, the pop star told fans that the record was finished, but wouldn't be released until September.

"I realize that is a long time but that's the best time to release it apparently so I'm sorry for the wait but I promise you it sounds great!" she wrote.

Since releasing her first album, "Thankful," in 2003, Clarkson has sold 10.7 million albums in the US. According to Nielsen, the singer is second only to Carrie Underwood (12.4 million) in sales among 'American Idol' acts.
