Kelly Clarkson rules out 'American Idol' judging role

Now that there is only one spot open for another 'American Idol' judge, the rumour mill is in overdrive although one star has ruled herself out as a possibility.

Kelly Clarkson, who won the 2002 series of the popular vocal talent show, has revealed that she isn't interested in the position because she would have trouble being brutally honest with hopeful contestants to their faces:

"I don't like the judging part of it. That's what I liked about 'Duets'. I got to actually mentor them and it was more fun. I don't think I'd be honest. I think I'd get home and be like, 'Did you see that, boy? He was bad!'"

"I don't think I'd say that on TV because people would hate me!"

On July 31, Clarkson sent out a tweet to her fanbase and told them she is "happier" than she's ever been:

"I am happier than I've ever been in my life. I pray everyone is this happy and if you're not and going through a rough time I pray you find the happiness we all deserve. Have an awesome day!"
