Kelly Osbourne: 'My mother taught me to be a fighter'

Singer and 'Fashion Police' co-host Kelly Osbourne has admitted that her mother Sharon is a great role model who taught her the value of fighting for what she wants and for herself.

Speaking to BWatt magazine, Osbourne revealed that the best lesson her mother has taught her is to stand up for herself and for what she believes in: "She taught me to be a fighter, that a smile can be the best medicine, to live every day as if it's your last, that family is all that really matters, and that love is the only true thing that lasts forever."

She went onto add that it took her a long time to step into this role and to be positive with everything that has happened to her family over the years: "For so long I sat back and said to myself 'why me?' Why did I almost kill myself with drugs? Why did my mum almost die from cancer? Why did my dad [Ozzy Osbourne] get into a motorcycle accident that almost killed him? Why does my brother [Jack] have Multiple Sclerosis, a disease of which there is no cure?"

"Then I sat back and really thought about my life and I realised that this is just life. I would be an ignorant brat to think I was the only person in the world facing challenges like this."
