Austin's favorite five-piece indie rock band Sarah and the Sundays release their new EP "Half Way Home." Written just before the world shut down & during the early stages of the pandemic, "Half Way Home" is a 4-track collection of songs that 1883 Magazine described as "equal parts invigorating and infectious"and is the perfect follow-up to their much-loved 2019 debut album "So You're Mad About The Cups." Included on the EP is "I'm So Bored," a track that perfectly articulates the mundanity of living in quarantine.

Charting a year of life for the band and written entirely by the members of the band — Miles McCarthy-Reynolds, Quinn Lane, Liam Yorgensen, Brendan Whyburn, and Declan Chill — the "Half Way Home" EP navigates everything from breaking bad habits to being utterly bored even before the pandemic. Known for having a knack for unforgettable hooks paired with universally relatable (and sometimes tongue-in-cheek) lyrics, Sarah and the Sundays, have received support from everyone from Smash Mouth who claimed "Take Your Time" as their #MouthPick, SiriusXM's Alt Nation included the track as a critical cut, indie tastemakers like A1234, Flex and Out Now Magazine, and the band have started to garner a feverish fanbase of people who think of them as their hidden gem indie secret.

With live shows and touring and new music from the band on the horizon, make sure to keep your eyes on Sarah and the Sundays.

About

After meeting in a music class in Connecticut, guitarist Miles, bassist Declan and lead singer Liam began to realize their passion for songwriting, pushing them to create songs of their own. Their first album as a full band quickly rose to over 7.5 million streams and the boys decided to take a leap of faith: leaving college after one year to pursue their dream. Since the release, they have been writing new music, playing live shows, making waves in the Austin music scene and creating a buzz on college campuses across the country.
