Kesha sparks standing ovation at Billboard awards with Dylan cover

Kesha got a standing ovation at this year's Billboard Music Awards after performing a Bob Dylan cover.

The singer ran through the track 'It Ain't Me Babe' at the Las Vegas event on Sunday (May 22).

It was the US star's first television appearance since her unsuccessful lawsuit against producer Dr Luke, who she claims raped her.

Kesha was initially blocked from performing at the show by the music man's label Kemosabe over fears she would use the stage as a "platform" to reference the legal battle.

However, the label eventually agreed to her performance after receiving assurances that this would not be the case.

Among the big winners at the Billboard Music Awards meanwhile were The Weeknd and Adele.
